In the first term of Years 7 and 9, students have an extra guidance class taught by their form tutor. Students are familiarized with the new grammar school environment, the relationship between the newly-formed classes and their respective form tutor is strengthened, students are given a general introduction to learning strategies, and other school-related problems can be discussed. In order to deepen and illustrate particular educational topics, excursions and external project weeks take place regularly. Additionally, students attend compulsory Physical Education classes (three lessons per week for all year groups) and two semester-long Information & Communications Technology courses, in which they are introduced to working with computer programmes and to the school’s modern ICT and multimedia facilities. |
